Daily Grind Movie – online marketing strategy and PR

Daily Grind is a short comedy feature about a day in the life of 2 hapless baristas. Prior to its release at international film festivals, the film producers needed a low-cost marketing and promotion strategy to garner buzz and publicity for the movie.
We asked coffee lovers to participate in the film as extras, and arranged for coverage of one of our shooting days from the Oakland Tribune.  Independent coffee shops were asked to offer  promotional space in their cafes and screening nights at their venue. In exchange, the movie’s website puts each coffeehouse’s logo on their community page.
